We are new Wicklow residents, this was our first time at Sparrows Nest and we were not disappointed. Excellent food, including Lamb Shank, which was tender and delicious and light and tasty tempura fish accompanied by a lovely French Rose. Our waitress, Alex, was extremely welcoming, friendly and efficient. The restaurant was busy, the atmosphere was warm and pleasant with a great buzz, but the front of house and kitchen staff were on the ball. We will definitely be back!

Lucky to have stumbled across this restaurant and their special Thursday night deal. Catered for my gluten free diet and the food was exceptional. The young man who served us was clearly professionally trained. review. We were lucky to get a table. Very popular.

My boyfriend and I went to this lovely restaurant, and the food was amazing. We had two courses, he ordered beef and I had fish (btw the mushroom starter was so delicious). We really had a good time here. Highly recommend!

A very welcoming restaurant with a menu that excelled in all courses. Starter with garlic mushrooms, fish of the day main course and roulade for dessert. Each course presented well and tasted amazing.

Amazing meal. Superb service. I had garlic mushrooms which were just superb. And then the special of the three fish with fresh veg. It was sublime. Great selection of wine served at perfect temperature. The staff were efficient. Friendly. Attentive. Highly recommend!

Amazing food! At first it doesn't look like fancy restaurant but once you taste your starter you are starting to understand why this place has five stars, it is all about the people and food. You don't simply have artistic looking dish in front of you but also it tastes amazing. Just some additional information: there is no parking at front but you can find parking around the streets. Good for couples and families amazingly warm atmosphere.

We got a lovely seat with without a doubt about it the best beef meal I've ever had . Perfectly presented in a beautiful wine sauce with succulent veg never tasted so good anywhere my 48 years.the ice cream desert was a delightful way to end our amazing experience. The staff and chefs should be proud to know it's the best meal I've ever had in my life. Thank-you. I recommend here 100,%
